A Lovely Little Imagination

Every couple of months ZZ hits a stage and I think,
"This is my new favorite stage."

Now she is entering one that is only comparable to
those first few smiles and laughs of a tiny baby.

ZZ is becoming a part of the wonderful land of make believe.
I LOVE it.
ZZ won this awesome Melissa and Doug doll house last year at A Child's World's birthday party that they have every year in February.  We have had it for a while and I was so worried about getting painted that I didn't put it together.
I eventually realized that I could possibly never get the whole thing painted.
She was so excited as we were putting it together I realized it didn't need paint at all.
Every morning she convinces me that we need to play with her "Dollies."
Sometimes we only play for a couple of minutes, sometimes we play all morning long in our jammies.
I'm glad they live in her room and not in mine...they kind of creep me out,
but to her, they are beautiful.

It is so fun to see how her imagination works and how she sees things.
Our first couple play dates consisted of Daddy going to work then coming home to give everyone kisses.
The next few times it was all about someone falling off the balcony and mommy giving them kisses.
The whole falling off the balcony part kind of freaked me out, but the mommy kisses made it all better.
Her dollies often eat popcorn at the table and
have a fascination with going to the bathroom and taking quick naps only to get up and eat more popcorn.
There is also this fun dress up toy.
She doesn't get to play with it very much.
It's sooo many little pieces,
but she does love it.

Today ZZ put her washcloth down on the shower floor and told me that she was having a picnic and couldn't get out of the shower.
I told her that we could play picnic together, if she would get out o the shower.
At first she invited me into the shower with her,
to which she got told, "no."
She's a pro bargainer and insisted that if she get out of the shower we also play with her "friends."
I thought that was a pretty fair trade and her "friends" were invited to our picnic.
While I made grilled cheese sandwiches she moved her "friends" to our picnic blanket.
Ya-ya was invited too.
I think she only ate a couple of slices of apple,
before her little people needed to eat too.
It looks like Thanksgiving came early at our house.

Her cute conversations are amazing and I really get a glimpse into the reality that she is living in.
I love that her friends say "sorry" and love each other.
She loves to sing along with her princesses and make her dollies dance.
It makes me notice the things that she really likes to do with me.
It's a magical little world that she is living in
and I am glad that I get to be apart of it.

Look at Her Grow: Rice Cereal

Our Little Ya-ya has doubled her weight!
She is now
15 lbs and 2 oz
and 25 1/4 inches long.
She stayed right on her 80% curb.

The Dr. said it was time to add some rice cereal to her diet.

She ate right up.

I'm pretty sure that I made a bigger mess than she did!

Even though I was very focused.
She is already getting to be such a big girl!
I'm loving having this little girl as part of our family.
I don't know what we would do with out her smiles.

Look at Her Grow: 4 Months

This little sweety turned 4 months old yesterday.
She is starting to show more and more of her personality.
A few of the things that she has learned this month are:
- How to grab things.
She loves her hangy-down toys and rattles.
My favorite part of this stage is I can put my hand out in front of her like I am reaching to her and she will grab a hold of my hand.
- How to call to mommy.
She has started babbling a lot more in this last month.  The first few times it was a, "Maaah,  MAaaah,"  It almost sounded like she was calling for me. Sometimes at night she will talk and talk and I will just listen to her from our room until she gets more upset.  I have a feeling she is going to be a talker.
-How to belly laugh.
This usually comes from tickling, which is only funny for about 2 tickles then she starts to get angry.
But the other day she was laughing every time I laughed.
I love laughing babies.  I'm convinced that it is be best sound in the world.
- How to roll over.
I have only actually seen her do it one time, but she has done it more than that.  I think it's a joke that she plays on me.  She rolls over just as I look away.
She loves to be (and sleep) on her side so once she gets to her side she doesn't really roll the rest of the way unless she is getting upset.
I am perfectly okay with her not wanting to roll very much.
Roll-y Babies = Messy diaper changes
- How to sit.
This little girl has amazing head control and sits pretty well for her age.
Obviously it's not perfect, but I can't believe how strong she is getting.
All she needs from me is to hold her legs down a little bit.
She loves to look around and observe everything that is going on.
-She likes pear juice.
Her little intestines were a little clogged up so she got to try pear juice for the 1st time.  She was a fan and it did the trick.
Tomorrow she has her Drs. appointment and I think they will give her the okay for rice cereal.

These are some of my favorite things about this little angel:
About 2 months after she was born she started to get this perfect heart shaped birthmark on her knee.
I love it.  It makes me smile.
Almost as much as I love the chunky legs she is getting.
This last month she also got another little angel kiss.
ZZ didn't have any birthmarks at all, so it was fun watching this one get darker and darker.

Ya-ya has the coolest tongue in the world.
If she had a chin she would be able to lick it.

All you have to do is touch the bottom of her lip and this is what happens.
Pretty amazing.
More than anything I love her sweet, calm personality.
She hardly ever gets frustrated with me.
She only cries if I take a really really long time to pay attention to her.
She is extremely patient, which I have needed lately
and she always seems happy to see me.
She watches ZZ's every move and loves when ZZ talks to her.
I have a feeling they are going to be really good friends.

She is a huge blessing and I love having her in our lives.
I'm so glad that I get to call her mine.

October 2013

October is always a fun month in our home.
We had a blast at the local straw maze...
 For the first hour...
The girls liked it better on the outside than the inside.
Especially since ZZ has a developed an awesome fear of the dark lately.
We also Celebrated Sergio's B-day
Someone must have messed up on the candles...
That should clearly read 27 right?
It was nice having his family over to open presents.
We also had my Dad's B-day,

He's really old.
It took us half the night just to light all of those candles.

We had a bunch of pumpkins this year
we had a blast painting them.

Well, everyone had fun except this little one.
I think she decided she wanted to dress up as Braveheart this year.
They all did a really good job painting.

Halloween was especially fun this year now that ZZ is old enough to understand everything.
She made a pretty scary tiger.

This is a vintage costume.
My Grandma made it when we were teeny tiny and we have all got to wear it.
I don't think any of us rocked it as well as ZZ though.
They were originally going to be party animals,
But they were so darn cute without the party hats I figured it was just as good.
They are cuties.

ZZ made quite the haul this year.
We had fun visiting a few homes quickly and going to the library for story time AND going to our ward party.
It was a packed evening, but it was wonderful.

ZZ still asks to be a tiger every once in a while,
But I think she is starting to realize that
"Christmas is Coming to Town."
As she will tell you if you ask.

Anniversary 2013 - 4 years down.

...Eternity to go.
This years anniversary trip was a little different than some of our last vacations,
this time we took the littles.
We had a lot of fun...
We went to Cornbelly's festival at Thanksgiving point.

They had a bunch of really fun things to do.
ZZ had a blast.

She especially liked dressing up as a princess and having Daddy as her prince.
We had quite the meltdown trying to leave that section and we realized it was nap time,
but we hadn't even done the corn maze yet.
So we took the the girls on a walk...
We were in that maze FOREVER... was pretty successful.
The girls were asleep in no time.

We also got to take the girls swimming.
Which they loved.

We also spent 2 days on temple square.
The first day we didn't get any pictures becuase we took trax and left the camera in the car.
Pretty lame.
It's okay though becuase it was really super rainy.
We spent almost the whole time in the Church History Museum.
They have a huge section for kids,
and ZZ had a blast.
It was hard to leave.
This is our last day of the trip.

All of this in a few short years.

I'm excited to have this little family forever.
