Tis the Season!!!

It always starts the same.
Family.
Laughing.
Commotion.
Football.
Smells.
Tastes.
Pure Happiness...
Yup it's that time of the year again.
There's nothing quite like a nice dinner with our family around the table.
There is always something to laugh about.
The day ends with an empty turkey but the spirit lives on.
Especially this year since the holiday weekend started with this...
We got some 6 inches of lovely snow.
That's enough to put anyone into the Christmas spirit.
And nothing is more fun in the Christmas spirit than making things out of candy.
We aren't quite professionals...but we sure could be.
 Look at that concentration.
This is Sergio's little gingerbread house...notice his nicely crafted toadstools and flowers...I think he is still dreaming of the nice Tucuman summer that his family is enjoying right now.
This is mine.
It was a lot of hard work and earned me a nice nap on the couch.
But then again...almost anything makes me think that I earned a nap lately.
I hope you are having as much fun as we are with your Christmas Prep.
It's going to be a happy way to end a perfect year.

November - Look at us Grow

Another month has already went by.
Some days I want time to go a little quicker...
and other days I am okay with this sweet little baby girl taking her time.
We just want to be as prepared as we can be, but I think I am realizing that I am never going to feel completely ready to be a mommy.
Enjoy my November plump-ness.

She doesn't look like she has grown too much this month but she is. In fact all of her little organs are up and running.  Now she just needs to get a little baby fat on her bones and she will be here in no time.
Her coolest trick lately has been to change shapes.  She mostly hangs out under my right rib and punches right under my sternum.  I love feeling her there.
Oh so close, but oh so far away.

This is my good ole pal Kara.
I had to post this picture just to prove that I'm not always in spandex.

Our 1st Snow Day!!

Once upon a time...
There were three little snowmen...
There was a Daddy Snowman
There was a Mommy Snowman
And even a little baby snowman
They all had a wonderful wintrey day.
...the end.

This was Sergio's first real snow day.
This was the first time there was actually enough snow to play in. It was a wonderful surprise to see our frozen over world this morning. We quickly had breakfast and got all dressed up in our stylish snow gear.
(Picture not included.)
At first we tied to make our snowmen separately but we quickly found out that we work a lot better together.
Sergio had this perma-grin all day long.
So our snowy rendition of him had to have one too.
This is me...post baby...
And this was our future little snow flake.
We had an excellent day in our little magical wonderland.

Happy Birthday Dad!!

This is my mom and dad.
They are pretty amazing.
Yesterday my dad turned 50.
Let me just tell you...that's a whole lotta candles.
My dad is still a pretty awesome 50 year old.
He still takes me skiing.
And we like to play catch.
He's always been an adventurous one.
I don't think anyone can beat my dad.
He's old...but he's still cool.
Happy Birthday Dad!

Happy Birthday Sergio!

This is Sergio and my 2nd Birthday to celebrate together.
Last year we were still living in Mariano's house (as we refer to it).
We had a simple day.
I made Lasagna.
We ate cake.
And we watched Athletico play soccer.
It was pretty wonderful. This year.
We went to lunch.
We ran a few errands.

We even still had lasagna.

We even "tried" to have the same kind of cake that we had last year.
It's called Torta de Mil Hojas or in other words, thousand layer cake.
It still had millions of layers...
but they weren't quite as delish as last year.
It is the first and last time that I will be attempting that one. : )
The good news is that it had LOTS of dulce de leche...and the ice cream that was on the side was awesome.
Best of all we got a good laugh out of it.
We had a great time with our family.
I hope that every year from now on has as many exciting challenges as this one has.
Happy Birthday Old Man.

Feliz Dia de la Madre!

Happy Mother's Day to our MOM in Argentina!!
This is Sergio's mom Susana.
We love her Soooooo much.
She is an amazing woman,
with a really strong testimony.
We always loved sitting out on the porch or around the kitchen table and drinking mate with her and my father-in-law Jose and listening to their stories of the good ole days.
She has been very understanding while we are so far from Argentina. She is pretty much the best cook in the whole wide world and is always willing to help anyone in need.
She taught me a lot about the culture while I was there and I enjoyed learning to make home made noodles, milenesa and kipe from her.
She also offered to threaten Sergio whenever I needed it.
: )
Luckily she hasn't had to treaten him so far.

I am especially grateful that she raised such an amazing family. I think you can tell a lot about a woman by how her kids are. All of her children are examples of what she taught.

They are respectful, Loving, and Kind.

They have integrity and faith.

They are true friends.

I am so glad that I have been sealed to them forever...because it could take me all eternity to learn how to be as wonderful as they are.

Happy Mothers Day Susana!

The Perfect Ten

It's already been a year since Sergio swept me off my feet.
I can't believe how much we have grown together in these few months and all the experiences that we have had together in such a short time.
I never knew that I could love someone as much as I love him.
Here's to Eternity!

What a Year

If you have been following my blog you can probably tell
that this last few months has been quite the ride.
...But it isn't over yet...
For Father's Day this year I had an extra special present for my own father.
Sergio and I are going to have a baby!
( See how nice and skinny I am?)
It has totally worth all of the
tiredness and the terrible morning sickness
that we went through
just to see these precious snapshots of
our sweet little daughter
August 19th, 2010 -- 16'ish weeks
These are her little feets...isn't that amazing?
I love this picture as you can just see the love shinning off their faces.

I was pretty stoked too.

Then on September 22nd, 2010
(right around 20 weeks)
We got our second glimpse
It turns out that she is VERY flexible
And she looks a lot like her daddy.
Yah I guess these last few months have been quite the ride...It's been that kind of ride that you look back on your whole life and wonder how so many memories can be packed into such a short time.
I am just so grateful for a husband that has stood beside me and supported me and built me up and helped me to constantly move forward.
This baby is going to have one amazing father.
